Help With Reservations

To Book a Reservation:

Search for a property you want to stay at. Select the Dates of your stay and agree to the Paradise Getaways Terms, Conditions and Policies, then Type the Code to prove you are not a robot and Click Send. The Site will calculate and Reserve the Time Slot after it verifies the calendar.

When the page comes back with a Reservation for you, you have secured the dates and property you wanted and the only thing left is to pay for the reservation.

You can choose to pay from the Reservation Success page as soon as it comes up or you can click on the link in the email the system generated and sent to the email address you placed in the reservation form. NOTE: You have 24 hours to pay for your reservation and if it is not paid for within 24 hours the system cancels the reservation. You will need to conduct a new search to secure the reservation.

Until a reservation is paid it stays as pending in the system and if payment is not received with 24 hours the booking will be canceled automatically.

Check/Monitor Your Reservations:

Stay up to date with your reservation status. To check, either find the message with the Host or go to Trips details.

Confirmed status means the reservation is complete. Start packing!!! You will receive a confirmation email.

To Cancel a Reservation:

The booking reservation can be canceled via the Booking Manager link sent in the approval email. Keep in mind that a Cancellation made within 72 hours of the reservation check in time, will impose a 50% charge of the daily rental fee for the property reserved.

To Change a Reservation:

The booking reservation can be changed via the Booking Manager link sent in the approval email. Once you receive the approved reservation email. You can click on the link to be brought to the Booking Manager where you can Modify or Cancel your reservation.

Modifications of existing reservations are not permitted within 72 hours of  the reservation check-in time. Keep in mind that a Cancellation made within 72 hours of the reservation check in time, will incur a 50% charge of the daily rental fee for the property reserved.

To Change a Pending Reservation:

Change of plans? No problem. As long your reservation is still in the Pending status, you can withdraw your request and send a new one: Simply go to your message thread with the Host and select  Withdraw request, or go to Trips and cancel a pending trip request.

After that, simply send a new request with your updated details.

After canceling or withdrawing your request, you can send a new request with your changed dates or number of guests.

What Is the Pending Status for a Reservation?

Why is my reservation in a “pending” status? Here are some reasons why your reservation might have a “Pending” status:

  1. The host needs to respond to your request. When you make a reservation to book and the payment is complete, a reservation request is automatically sent to the host. The host has 24 hours to accept or decline the request. The status of your reservation will be “Pending” until the host responds. During this time, you can also contact the host to approve your request.
  2. If the host declines your request or doesn’t respond within 24 hours, the booking status will be updated as “Declined” or “Expired,” and your payment will be refunded to your original payment method.
  3. A reservation may also be “Pending” if you booked a place to stay and have not completed the payment process. In this case, you’ll have 24 hours from the time you booked to complete payment, otherwise the reservation will be automatically canceled.

What Happens if My Reservation is Declined or Expires?

What do I do if my reservation request is declined or expires?
When a reservation request is declined by the host or expires (hosts have 24 hours to respond), no charge is made for the reservation and you’re free to book another place to stay. You can also find updated information by checking the status of your reservation.

If your reservation request is declined and the listing for the stay shows that it’s still available, the host’s calendar may not be up-to-date or they may want reservations of a different length or time.

The payment method may be temporarily authorized for a charge when you request a reservation, but this authorization is voided and released back to the payment method if your request is declined or expires.
